The one time mountain village of St. Anton was once an important stop on an old trade route over the Arlberg Pass. Tourism greatly increased with the construction of the Arlberg tram and the completion of the almost 11 kilometer long train tunnel. The Alber family has been running the four-star hotel for a few years and they go to lengths to maintain tradition as well as provide modern amenities. The Hotel Post is now celebrating more than hundred years of hospitality, which shows that, after housing generations of visitors, the hotel has not lost any of its appeal.
